Period Pantry
2 in 5 menstruators struggled to afford period products in the last year due to insufficient income.
Period Pantry is a program designed to provide necessary products and supplies to menstruators in Shawnee County.
By enrolling in the Period Pantry, the program participant is provided 25-period products each month. Products are picked up at the Hancock Center one time per month and include: pads, panty liners, tampons, period underwear, and menstrual cups (as available).
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants requesting Period Pantry assistance need to complete the agency’s basic intake process unless they are currently receiving another agency support.

Walk-in
1000 SE Hancock, when coming to Hancock without an appointment, staff will make every effort to meet with you at that time but may need to schedule an appointment at a different time due to already scheduled activities.
Enrollment Period
The enrollment period begins the date the applicant is determined eligible and will last for one year (12 months). When the one-year enrollment period ends, participants will be notified no less than 15 days (about 2 weeks) before the expiration of the enrollment period that they must certify re-enrollment in order to continue participating in the program. This ensures that the participant continues to meet the eligibility requirements.
Program Capacity and Waitlist
Program capacity is determined by the Family and Community Outcomes Director based on available supplies and funds. Open enrollment slots will be filled based on the order in which applications are received and certified as completed.
